The 2018-19 winter season
It was a great pleasure to welcome you to our different events: Yuge days, Destination Glacier, Snooc, First Tracks and the Over-the-Moon Special. Together we’ve experienced emotionally-charged moments and completely new experiences. The smiles on your faces shone and so did the sun.
Immerse yourself in this article and let yourself be carried back in time to relive the best moments of your winter holiday.
This season, you were the first to test the Snooc: a fun, completely new sport in la Plagne. Colorado Luge was the place to be for an introduction to this device. With more than 1.5kms of thrills and laughter, a crazy ride down was guaranteed.
Sunrise over the Alps, Savoy style breakfast and First Tracks on the slopes…it was a moment to recharge one’s batteries while enjoying the pastel coloured views with our staff including members of the ski patrol team. Throughout the winter it was a means of discovering the ski area from a different angle. What better way to start your day?
The Yuge day was an opportunity for Yuger friends to meet up in a friendly festive environment. There were hot drinks and snacks, a mini slalom, a photo spot, music and competitions, all under a blazing sun. Many of you shared your experiences on Yuge and won prizes in the application’s colours.
This winter two couples were able to enjoy two very special Over-the-Moon evenings. A candlelit dinner in a private chalet stylishly decorated with furs followed by a balneotherapy bath with views of Mt Blanc and an exceptional night under the stars: romance at its peak. Next winter there’ll be 3 exceptional dates but places are limited so make sure you get in quickly.
Destination Glacier: la Plagne at the top. At over 3200m altitude we met up for two sunny days full of surprises. There were avalanche rescue dog demonstrations, an explanation about the job of a snow scientist, cottage industry soup and ice cream tasting and an introduction to the biathlon. It was a day of discovery and a peek behind the scenes of the ski area.
