The first stage of this project was completed with the construction of the Glaciers gondola lift, connecting Roche de Mio to Live 3000 (which went into service in December 2023). This new, modern installation provides quicker and more comfortable access to the high-altitude areas, while offering an exceptional panoramic experience. It is part of La Plagne’s extensive ski area modernisation programme, aimed at improving skier mobility.
On this gondola lift, you’ll find Aérolive – a one-of-a-kind experience. Aboard a windowless cabin, you’ll be fully immersed in the breathtaking environment of the Northern Alps. Enjoy a 360° panoramic view of iconic peaks such as Mont Blanc and La Grande Casse, all while breathing in the fresh mountain air.
Access to the Roche de Mio will be greatly improved. You’ll be able to reach the summit directly from:
Plagne Bellecôte via the gondola lift
Champagny via the Carella chairlift
The summit of Grande Rochette via the Roche de Mio gondola, boarding at the mid-station at the Col de Forcle
Stay tuned for updates on this exciting project and get ready for an unforgettable mountain experience!
This summer, the Bergerie chairlift will be closed for a major inspection — a scheduled and preventive operation essential to maintaining the reliability and safety of the lift.
This thorough inspection involves checking and maintaining all components, from dismantling the chairs and servicing the stations, to inspecting the lift line, in order to detect any wear or hidden faults. Carried out regularly on a strict schedule, it ensures the chairlift continues to operate smoothly and safely for the seasons ahead.
The Funiplagne gondola will be open, so you can take full advantage of the area and not miss a thing.
