A non-smoking ski area

We explain everything to you

If you come skiing with us this winter, you may notice something new... or rather, a breath of fresh air! Since this summer, a new national law has classified ski areas as smoke-free zones. Don't panic: we'll explain why, how, and what this means for you.

Did you know?

This measure is part of the national "Tobacco-Free Generation" plan, enshrined in the decree of 27 June 2025. The aim? To protect everyone's health, especially that of young people, and to make our natural spaces even more pleasant to enjoy.

Like beaches, parks, gardens and stadium surroundings, ski slopes, queues and ski lifts are now affected. This national rule applies in all ski areas in France.

On the right, a black Glaciers gondola crosses the winter landscape, suspended above the pristine snow. This iconic La Plagne scene captures the essence of the ski area and the unique experience offered at the heights of Live 3000.

What difference does it make?

Smoking is prohibited:

  • on the slopes,

  • in lift queues,

  • on all ski lifts, including chairlifts.

Ultimately, this change is part of an overall desire to make the mountains even more beautiful, healthier and more enjoyable for everyone.

Imagine slopes without cigarette butts, smoke-free queues and the pure air of the peaks intact... It almost makes you want to take a deep breath, doesn't it?
