A vital tool for off-piste enthusiasts

La Plagne’s Avalanche Park is a dedicated training area for avalanche victim search. It allows all off-piste enthusiasts to practise in real conditions using their own equipment, helping them develop the right reflexes and improve their effectiveness in emergencies.

The Avalanche Park

An avalanche transceiver training park for off-piste enthusiasts

An avalanche transceiver training park is designed to practise searching for avalanche victims using hidden beacons. This allows everyone to learn or improve their reflexes to use their avalanche detector effectively when needed.

The avalanche transceiver: a life-saving device

The avalanche transceiver works as a transmitter-receiver: each skier carries one, and in the event of an accident, it makes it possible to locate a buried companion via the emitted signal. This device greatly increases the chances of saving a victim. It is therefore important not only to carry one, but also to train in using it.

Avalanche dogs

A true asset to the La Plagne ski area

Trained from a young age (photo evidence), Twin has learned to detect and rescue avalanche victims buried under the snow. Thanks to his highly developed sense of smell, he quickly locates people in danger, significantly increasing their chances of survival.

Regular training for avalanche dogs

Twin and his fellow avalanche dogs regularly take part in training sessions to sharpen their skills. They are true trusted partners for off-piste safety in La Plagne.
